Tattapani
Tattapani village is located in Karsog, Mandi district at a distance of 52 km from Shimla and 29 km from Naldehra. In local language, 'Tattapani' means 'hot water'. The place is famous for its hot water springs that is spread over an area of one square kilometre.Considered of possessing medicinal values, it is believed that a dip in the hot water can cure skin diseases, joint pains and fatigue. However, it is not a natural spring since it disappears in the month of June and July as the level of the river rises.
Tattapani is a small place, a couple of hours drive from Simla and fits this definition. Its got adventure, serenity and silence in the same place. The town is famous for 'Tatta' or hot water springs. Interestingly these springs are bang on the Sutlej river so you can enjoy hot and cold water at the same place.
